There are many programs that promise to maintain and speed up your computer, and it ends up doing is making it go slower. There aren't programs that do miracles. When you install an antivirus on a computer the performance is greatly reduced, but it's necessary to surf on the web. This has no solution, but what we can control is what runs on your PC and wich programs consums resources.
One of the tools that incorporates windows is msconfig. Press the Windows key + R. The window "run" appears. In the box type msconfig and click OK.
On the Start tab, there is a list of programs that load each time Windows starts. Not all are required if you take a look, surely you can switch off.
Apply the configuration and restart the computer.
We can also do a cleaning of temporary stores in windows. There are folders that programs use when installed, are used as a bridge location that facilities the installation and then leave the rest. These files can be deleted. Should be careful not to have any installation or program executed when deleting files in these folders:
C: \ windows \ temp \ *. *
(Windows XP) C: \ Documents and Settings \ user \ Local Settings \ temp \ *. *
(windows 7) C: \ Users \ User \ AppData \ Local \ Temp \ *. *
There is a program that does all this for you, is Ccleaner. Clear all temp folders, cleans the registry of invalid or obsolete entries, disable startup programs, disable browser complements, deletes restore points, cleans the empty space on your hard drive ...
Ccleaner is not a resident program, Ccleaner doesn't decrease your computer performance, Ccleaner is a good utility.
