This applies to windows 7.
If you have forgotten the password of the user or if you just need to delete the password you need a windows 7 dvd from your version (Home premium, Professional...).
- Start the computer from the dvd.
- In the first options screen, in the bottom left select Repair your computer.
- Follow through until you can select the option to open the command prompt.

- Type the next steps:
cd c:\windows\system32
copy sethc.exe sethc.old
copy cmd.exe sethc.exe
copy cmd.exe sethc.exe (yes, make do it twice)
- Restart the computer.
- On the Logon screen press SHIFT button five times.
- It will appear a command prompt, type: control userpasswords2
- The new window will allow you to change or delete the password:
- Select the password yo need to modify and press the button Reset Password in the bottom.
- Now you can change the password or simply leave it blank to leave the user without password.
- Close the windows and Logon!.
